Client Training-Camp Lab Testing

We thought you’d appreciate seeing the fun we had lab testing one of our clients today. He’s committed himself to a 12-week training camp with us, so as usual we’re lab testing before and afterwards to show the results that he gets for his efforts.

We’ll be sticking a camera into his various training sessions along the way, so check back soon for progress updates :)

This week’s TwitQ question is all about “Runner’s Knee” — what is it? how do you know if you have it? How can you treat it? How would we assess and treat someone who has it and comes to us for help.

We gathered our Clinical Director, Performance Director and Senior Therapist together to tackle all of these questions and show you a few interesting bits and pieces.

The video talks about the pathologies surrounding the term Runner’s Knee, the clinical treatments that are used, and then go on to show some self myofascial release – before showing a couple of exercises that really help to build strength and rehabilitate the area.

TwitQ: Elbow Tendonitis – what can be done to help?

Each week we answer Sports Medicine and Strength & Conditioning questions that are tweeted and/or e-mailed to us.

This week, twitter user @rideearthtom asked us a question about elbow tendonitis.
In this reply video we talk a little about the causes of elbow pain, the problems that can happen (such as “tennis elbow”) and what the root causes are. We then teach a self-diagnostic test and bunch of stretches and exercises that can be done at home.
